Founded in 1912, we provide supports and services for individuals services including transitional services for young adults, job development and supports, and in-home supports. We also have a specialized program, CAAPP (Community Adult Autism Partnership Program) located in Downingtown and Wayne that provides life skills and employment supports for indivdiuals living in the community.

Devereux Pocono Center’s vibrant community programs for adolescents and adults are located throughout the Pocono/Northeast. Devereux serves the Pocono/Northeat with relief care - day, overnight, in-the-home, & within our facilities, residential programs, pre-vocational and vocational training Programs. Our School to Community Transition Training Programs ensures special needs students can progress successfully to community work and living.

Gateway Employment Resources is a tool for teachers, parents, and individuals with ASD to aid in the process of gaining competitive employment. Gateway Employment also provides community based work assessments to help an individual match their skills to a career opportunity.

Behavior Consultation for children with ADD/ADHD, ODD & Autism Spectrum Disorders. Specialized in grades 9 thru 12 past five years, however works with children 18 months to adulthood. Background: ABA from Children's Seashore House Biobehavioral Unit and M.Ed in Special Education. Procured contracts to assist with implementation of co-teaching methods and inclusion for children with autism/brain injury.

Transition program for students 14-21 with Autism. Focus on employment and skills of daily living in community based instruction.

Mission: To provide school-to-work transition instruction in the classroom, on-site business, and community-based work sites for students aged 13-21.

The program is structured to meet the needs of students who do not learn well in typical classroom settings due to unique cognitive, communication, and sensory challenges, including students with autism spectrum disorders.

The Vanguard School is an Approved Private Day School serving special education students between the ages of 4 and 21. Located on 28 acres, Vanguard provides innovative, state of the art educational and therapeutic programs for students with the exceptionalities of ASD, Neurological Impairment and Serious Emotionally Disturbance. Students are referred to Vanguard by their local school district; tuition is paid by the school district and the PA Department of Education. Private enrollment with full tuition paid by the family is also available. All teachers are certified PA DOE special education teachers. Class sizes vary from a maximum of 8 in elementary school, 10 in middle school and 12 in high school. All therapists are hired as employee of The Vanguard School allowing for frequent and consistent interaction between the classroom teachers and therapists. The Vanguard School will celebrate it's 50th Anniversary in 2008.

The Watson Institute is an educational organization, one of Pennsylvania's Approved Private Schools. It specializes in educating children with special needs and in training the professionals and pre-professionals who serve these children. Watson operates a preschool program that brings together children with autism and their typically developing peers in a positive learning environment. Watson offers inclusive summer camp programs and provides child assessment and therapy for children and adolescents with autism. Watson also provides educational programs with a partial hospital component to children and adolescents with severe emotional disturbances.

Specialized evaluations are available including neuropsychological assessments and autism screening including the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS). VPS provides wraparound services, outpatient counseling and group therapy including social skills and anger management. VPS provides job coaching and tutoring services and is credentialed to offer training for APA, NBCC and social workers for continuing education credit. Services are available in our 5 western Pennsylvania offices: Lawrence, Butler, Mercer, Monaca and Slippery Rock.
