The project proposes to implement the Parent Coaching Program to offer initial training, skill building, and support to families with children with autism. It will serve as an introductory level training on important interventions and techniques to communicate with a child with autism, to decrease challenging behaviors, and to help a child live more independently. It will also provide skills for parents to begin to reduce stress in the family, and for the child with autism. |
