Ms. Wootton is a wonderful mom and has been a valuable resource in East Tennessee for families affected by Autism and other disabilities. She's a real go-getter and a tremendous advocate. When her daughter was diagnosed with PDD-NOS three years ago, there were scant resources for parents who needed answers. Even among the medical community and the school systems. No one seemed to know where to go or who to talk to. Ms. Wootton has played a large roll in establishing and maintaining this support system. She has done this for her daughter and for all parents of newly-diagnosed children.

Autism Solution Center, Inc. provides all autism-related interventions under one roof and at No Cost! Our goal is to make sure everyone with an autism spectrum disorder has access to appropriate, early, intensive intervention as well as education and training for loved ones and service providers. ASC believes every individual should have the opportunity to reach their fullest potential, regardless of their ability to pay.

Beyond the Limits, An Autism Resource Connection provides leading-edge information about biomedical research, tests and treatment options for autism spectrum disorders and an application for available grant money to help defray the costs of those interventions. The DMRS mission is to provide leadership in the development and maintenance of a system that offers a continuum of services and support for persons with mental retardation. The services and support will contribute to those persons having healthy, secure and meaningful lives, living in a residence of their choosing. The DMRS will work to accomplish its mission by recognizing that its values and principles are the cornerstones of the service delivery system. DMRS staff will act with professionalism, integrity and honesty to achieve and maintain the credibility that is required to fulfill the organization’s mission.

The mission of the ASA-ETC is to promote lifelong access and opportunity for all individuals within the autism spectrum and their community. We are parents, professionals, and other interested persons working together to try to provide as clear a picture of autism as possible, the best ways of working through the challenges, and ways citizens in the community can help.

EDFTC offers Speech, Occupational and Physical Therapy. We offer Hanen protocol trainings for parents and early childhood educators. We offer social skills groups and handwriting groups.

Families for Early Autism Treatment (F.E.A.T.) organized in 1998 to help families with children who have received the diagnosis of autism or other autistic spectrum disorders including Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD) and Asperger's Syndrome. The Chattanooga F.E.A.T. Chapter is composed of parents and professionals concerned about the welfare of autistic children. The monthly meetings at T.C. Thompson Children's Hospital offer support and encouragement by providing information and by giving parents the opportunity to interact with others with similar concerns.

Heart For Autism provides the building blocks to assisting families with children that have autism. We have on call consultants that are able to help you with implementing and running a home based ABA program. All of our consultants have children with autism and each have incredible stories to help encourage you throughout your journey of helping your autistic children grow.
