Seeking support and maintaining one’s own health are key to managing care giving years. Using respite care before you become exhausted, isolated, or overwhelmed is ideal, but just anticipating regular relief can become a lifesaver. As a parent of a child with special needs, I understand the difficulties and struggles you face when trying to find the right care and services for your family, yourself, and your home. Care Partners was founded in 2007, for the unique purpose of enabling families to find balance. We offer parents an opportunity to spend time outside the home with other friends and family, or to just relax. Give them time to take care of errands such as shopping, exercising, getting a haircut or going to the doctor. Most importantly, parents benefit from the comfort or peace of mind knowing that the child with special needs is spending time with another caring individual. |

Children's Association for Maximum Potential (CAMP) is a non-profit corporation established in 1979 to provide a wide range of recreational, rehabilitative, educational, and respite services for children with developmental disabilities and their families. Central to each of CAMP's programs is the provision of medical support. This ensures that every child, regardless of the degree of his or her medical needs, will be able to participate in all programs. CAMP was founded with the express purpose of filling major gaps in services for children with developmental disabilities. This is also done indirectly by training potential care-providers at all levels - teens through professionals - in order to support families in the care of their children. |
