The Arc of the Capital Area, a non-profit organization, is committed to promoting independence and choice by providing individualized services to adults and children with developmental disabilities.

We meet every second Tuesday of the month except in December. Meetings vary in topics-some are "share" meetings where you can voice your concerns and learn so much from other caregivers of those with autism. Other meetings are "speaker" meetings in which a special guest speaker will present a topic. Meetings are always FREE of charge.
No childcare is provided at the meetings.

A diverse professional background provides the opportunity for a variety of supports including: Functional Assessments on transition, behavior, parenting skills, and in-home needs; On-Site Consultation in the areas of Instruction, Wraparound Planning, In-Home Behavior Supports, Behavior Intervention Plans, Individualized Social Skills Training, Educational Planning/ARD Support, and Data Collection/Analysis; Professional Trainings and video-conferencing offered state-wide to small and large groups.
