Here at the Bureau of Insurance, we truly believe that our mission is to provide assistance to Virginia citizens who have questions or problems involving insurance. At CARD, we strive to help children by developing unique and individualized behavioral programs based on each child's particular strengths and weaknesses. Our goal is to teach all of our children the functional skills necessary to replace previously learned maladaptive behaviors, enabling them to live independent and productive lives.

Commonwealth Autism Service is partially funded by the Virginia Legislature to carry out activities in four major goal areas--providing ongoing support to families and professionals, developing regional networks, providing technical assistance, and conducting conferences related to pervasive developmental disorders. Our Board of Directors and Advisory Council include representatives of state agencies, school professionals, medical professionals, parents of children with autism, persons with autism, attorneys, and other relevant stakeholders.

Community Systems, Inc. operates group homes in Fairfax, supporting individuals with multiple, complex needs. Applications made through Community Services Board case management.

CEC advocates for appropriate governmental policies, sets professional standards, provides continual professional development, advocates for newly and historically underserved individuals with exceptionalities, and helps professionals obtain conditions and resources necessary for effective professional practice.

Inclusion Support Services creates accommodations, so any individual with a challenge or barrier accessing parks and recreation programs can participate successfully in any program of their choosing. Adaptations may include adapted equipment, staff training, additional support staff or an adaptation to the program.

The Infant & Toddler Connection of Virginia provides early intervention supports and services to infants and toddlers from birth through age two who are not developing as expected or who have a medical condition that can delay normal development. Early intervention supports and services focus on increasing the child's participation in family and community activities that are important to the family. In addition, supports and services focus on helping parents and other caregivers know how to find ways to help the child learn during everyday activities. These supports and services are available for all eligible children and their families regardless of the family's ability to pay.

LFSVA provides home and community based services for at-risk children and families. One of our programs is called Essential Pieces, and this is a free, structured, and educational program for parents and professionals who live with and serve children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This program also provides free respite care and a social group for children whose parents attend the parent group. A professional speaker leads each group, and includes presentations and Q & A sessions from individuals such as Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Founder of Autism Outreach, Developmental Optometrists, Teachers, Directors of Special Education, and many, many more individuals who serve our children.
