Mission Statement
To act as the coordinating entity for the dissemination of demographic data, program location, and best practices in the identification, program development, and placement of students with autism spectrum disorders.

To develop a state-wide system in which the identification, program development, placement, and staff development activities for students with autism are coordinated to ensure that all school districts, parents, agencies, and students are appropriately served throughout the state of Washington.

we are a parent founded, all volunteer, biomedical support group. We have an on-line listserve for WA state parents who are engaged in or seeking to begin biomedical, dietary, or other interventions for their children on the autism spectrum. As parents, we can share information on medical and therapy providers who we feel have been helpful to our families. There is no charge to be in our group, parents only.

To provide families and interested professionals with Neurological, Educational and Developmental information regarding learning and the brain. To assist adults and children with individualized programs that will enable them to come closer to reaching their full potential.

The ITEIP directs the coordination of the statewide system of early intervention services for families with children age birth to three that have developmental delays.

The Infant Toddler Early Intervention Program (ITEIP) provides early intervention services, including family resources coordination, for eligible children from birth to age 3 and their families.

Today, consumer protection is the most important job of the Insurance Commissioner. Commissioner The Commissioner coordinates a wide variety of protective and assistance services. His investigators follow up any consumer complaint, looking into the circumstances of disputes between consumers and companies, and taking the consumer's side whenever companies have acted improperly. The same Consumer Protection offices also respond to thousands of questions from consumers every year, and the agency publishes and distributes consumer guides and fact sheets to help Washington state residents be informed about their choices and rights when buying and using health coverage.

TACA holds monthly meetings in many locations throughout the United States that feature educational speakers on important topics and allow family members to connect with one another and stay on top of the latest information in the autism world. Each TACA group maintains a resource library of the latest autism books and tapes that can be checked out by members at no charge. Free journey guides are provided to new families.

Our Washington team offers free monthly meetings at Bates Technical College (South Campus) in Tacoma providing support opportunities for families throughout the Puget Sound community.

The mission of the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) is to endeavor to make a positive difference in the lives of people eligible for services, through offering quality supports and services that are: individual/family driven; stable and flexible; satisfying to the person and their family; and able to meet individual needs. Supports and services shall be offered in ways that ensure people have the necessary information to make decisions about their options and provide optimum opportunities for success.

Provides statewide coordination/support to all developmental related disabilities. Therefore, it is the mission of the Washington State Developmental Disabilities Council to work collaboratively with people with developmental disabilities, families and guardians, service providers, advocates and policy makers to: assure that individuals with developmental disabilities and their families have access to culturally competent, consumer/family-centered supports and other assistance that promote independence, productivity, integration and inclusion into the community of their choice; and to
promote this vision in the public policy and planning arena through system change, community capacity building and advocacy at the local, state and national level.

State Developmental Disabilities Planning Councils are organizations that are appointed by each state's governor. Their members often include people with developmental disabilities, parents, guardians, non-governmental service providers, and representatives from state agencies that provide services for people with developmental disabilities and their families. The Councils provide advocacy and information for developmentally disabled individuals, their families, and the professionals who work with them. Each states' Council may vary according to what type of services they provide (although most do not provide direct services).
