Something different: I am an autistic adult who works with autistic children on play skills and self advocacy, regardless of apparent communication level. Through a stepwise process the child and I can work with the family to improve communication that works FOR the child. Play skills, turn taking, IEP support, babysitting/respite, and some academic tutoring (depending on subject) are also available.

I also do the speaking gig thing, as requested. Topics include self advocacy, growing up autistic, a sensory integration simulation, and others.

Maxim Healthcare Services has been a key provider of in-home healthcare services in Washington State Since 1993. We have an experienced team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts and ABA Tutors that are trained and qualified to work with children on all levels on the Autism Spectrum.

Our services are designed to meet the unique needs of children and their families while helping overcome obstacles to create foundations for future success.

Behavioral Services Include:

• Functional Assessment of child by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, which includes a customized “Behavior Plan” with programming goals and objectives.
This assessment will determine the recommended amount of tutor hours needed for optimal care.
• One on one “meet and greet” with ABA Tutor are available where family can interact and interview tutor. We understand that finding the right “fit” between the child and the tutor is necessary for long term success. This is why we have a diversified staff of tutors that can cater to all age groups and abilities.
• Caregiver meeting where BCBA, ABA Tutor, and family can organize and discuss child’s therapies. This is designed to get all parties on the same page which is crucial to coordination of therapy.
• Weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly meetings between BCBA and ABA Tutor in which updates of therapy are discussed and implemented into the “behavior plan.”
