ABCD, Inc. is a multidisciplinary group practice established in 1977 as a resource for parents, educators, physicians, and other specialists working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Advantage Learning Group provides educational and behavioral support services including home and school based ABA services, parent and educator trainings, social skills and play skills groups and well as groups for teenagers transitioning to college.

Something different: I am an autistic adult who works with autistic children on play skills and self advocacy, regardless of apparent communication level. Through a stepwise process the child and I can work with the family to improve communication that works FOR the child. Play skills, turn taking, IEP support, babysitting/respite, and some academic tutoring (depending on subject) are also available.

I also do the speaking gig thing, as requested. Topics include self advocacy, growing up autistic, a sensory integration simulation, and others.

ASTAR Center offers medical and educational comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services and management to affected individuals of all ages and severities.

ASTAR Center’s multidisciplinary team of physicians, educationalists, psychologists and therapists are dedicated to building partnerships with families and coordination among providers to offer the optimal blend of services for affected families.

Diagnostic services, ABA program consultation, speech-language assessment and intervention, behavior consultation, individual and family therapy, social skills groups, school consultation, and professional training.

The Autism Center offers social skills groups for clients with Asperger syndrome and autism spectrum disorders. Social skills groups are used to teach children pivotal social skills, increase their sense of affiliation with others, and improve self-esteem. All groups are moderated by Autism Center staff.

The Autism Society of Washington is a non-profit organization that provides resources and referrals as well as advocacy for children and adults on the spectrum and their families, as well as professionals who work with them. We link with individuals, families, educators, physicians, law enforcement and other first responders and community members to improve awareness of autism issues and advocate for better services and supports in our state that assist individuals with being welcomed, productive members of their community. We also sponsor an annual conference bringing speakers from around the country to share their knowledge and information.

Carla A. Brooks MA CCC-SLP provides individual therapy focusing on the development of language, play and social communication skills. She also provides consultation services for families with newly diagnosed children and for youngsters and families transitioning from elementary to middle school to high school and to college or the work setting and for young adults with Asperger Syndrome. Ms. Brooks presents workshops and other continuing education activities.

Children's Communication Corner, Inc. provides individual diagnostic, treatment, and consultative services for children birth to adolesence with speech, language, language learing, motor speech, and social communication skills for children with a variety of special needs.

We also provide social skills groups for children ages 3-12 which are co-taught by a Speech Language Pathologist and an Occupational Therapist to best meet our clients social needs.
