The Research Participation Core helps investigators at the Waisman Center, affiliated with the University of Wisconsin-Madison, recruit participants for their research projects on autism spectrum disorders by maintaining a confidential registry of families who have consented in writing to be notified about studies for which they may qualify for. All studies that recruit participants through the Research Participation Core are approved by a University of Wisconsin-Madison Institutional Review Board.

The Toddler Talk Project is a federally-funded longitudinal study examining early communication skills in children, including those on the autism spectrum.
The study is currently recruiting children who are:
-Between 24-36 months old
-From an English-speaking background
-Diagnosed or suspected to be on the autism spectrum
Participation includes a FREE developmental evaluation performed by a psychologist and speech-language pathologist.
