ABC Therapy is a family friendly service provider. We provide COUNSELING for children (birth to 18 years) and FAMILY COUNSELING. ABC Therapy is an experienced provider of WV BIRTH TO THREE early intervention services. We focus on ENCOURAGING your child and family with SOCIAL SKILLS TRAINING, CHALLENGING BEHAVIORS, PLAY THERAPY TECHNIQUES, TRAINING FOR EDUCATIONAL ISSUES. We also have a experienced educator who provides ACADEMIC TUTORING for students K-12 and Adult students.

Provides service coordination, residential (homes, supervised apartments, foster care), day programs, personal care, assessments and evaluations, supported employment, independent living and family support.

Reltionship Development Services. In training under the Connection Center in Houston TX for RDI. Practitioner enrolled in the West Virginia Birth to Three Program. Private Consultation also available.

Our programming is exceptional! We will be offering art, dance, drama, and music programs Tuesday through Friday. Classes are limited to 5 children per class. Siblings are welcome to enroll. Registration is required. Fall session dates are October 18th through December 1st; winter session dates January 17th though February 24th; and spring session March 20th through April 28th. Summer brings the Adventure Club.

Super Saturdays are jam packed with activities. The Avampato Discovery Museum will visit bringing their portable Planetarium for grades 3rd and up and a read aloud for Pre-K to 2ND grade scene followed by a craft or science experiment. Our Artful Musical Saturdays are mini workshops that are fun for the whole family.

A sibling support group mets the first Thursday each month at 5;30. Dinner/chat/social time for ages 9 and older.

Parent-to-Parent is group support for parents. Starting in September, six groups will meet once a month. Mom’s every third Tuesday at 10am and at 7 pm; Dad’s Discussion Group every Fourth Tuesday at 7 pm; a parents group the second Thursday at 7pm. There is no need to make a reservation, just come!

Parent-to-Parent workshops, lectures, and seminars will be offered through out the year. Topics range from Autism 101; Yoga, Diet, and Stress Management; and Estate Planning for Special Needs Children.

The activities and events at Joseph’s Tree House are broken into three age groups and are family centered, requiring a parent be present at all times. The Tree House Gang is geared for Preschool through Kindergarten; The Tree House Club for 1st through 5th grade; and The Club House is 6th grade and older. Some activities and events occur
on-site as well as off-site.

WV Birth to Three is a statewide system of services and supports for children under age three who have a delay in their development, or may be at risk of having a delay, and their family. The Department of Health and Human Resources, through the Bureau for Public Health and the Office of Maternal, Child and Family Health, WV Birth to Three, as the lead agency for Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), assures that family centered, community based services are available to all eligible children and families.

We are an online consultation service for families of children with autism. We provide visuals such as PECS books, schedules for home and community, teaching aids, behavior plans, and other supports designed to make life easier for children with autism and their families. We make home visits within a 100 mile radius. We offer training for family members, daycare providers, etc., and would be happy to observe your child in a community setting, such as church, to help your child function successfully in that environment.
