The Parent Information Center (PIC), a project of Parents Helping Parents of Wyoming Inc., opened in August, 1991 as one of the nationwide network of nonprofit, Parent Training and Information Centers (PTI's) funded by the United States Department of Education. Our first responsibility is to inform and educate parents about special education law and the rights and responsibilities they and their child have under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). The main goals and purposes of PIC are to help families better understand education issues as they relate to their child's disability, and to provide support and encouragement to parents as they face their child's journey through life.

UPLIFT provides support, education, advocacy, information and referral services for parents, family and the community,
focusing on the emotional, behavioral, mental and learning disabilities of children and youth.

VSA arts of Wyoming creates opportunities for persons with disabilities through education and employment in the Arts. We are a non-profit organization, affiliated with the VSA arts International network. Our mission is to include all children, youth and adults with physical, emotional, intellectual and social challenges in integrated settings and improve their learning, employment and life skills.

AUCD formerly UAP(University Affiliated Programs) are authorized by federal legislation to help States and local communities respond to the needs of people with developmental disabilities and their families.(AUCDs) serve as a liaison between the academic world and the developmental disabilities service delivery system. AUCDs network with and provide assistance to State Agencies, their local affiliates, and to various nongovermental consumer-based organizations. Most AUCDs provide direct clinical, educational, and other services to individuals and families, or can assist families in finding services.

The department provides optimum consumer protection and support to Wyoming residents by investigating consumer complaints and resolving issues on insurance matters.
