A nationally recognized program created by Richard Solomon MD and based on the DIR theory of Stanley Greenspan MD. Our program is designed to teach parents play-based, intensive intervention techniques that are very successful in helping young children with autistic spectrum disorders (ASD) gain language and social skills. By focusing on spontaneity and emotional connections, our program is both fun and effective. Our highly trained home consultants provide supervision and support for families in their homes. Comment:
Great help, great way to enable parents, great improvement for the kid and all of that at a comparably low price! Floortime hands-on for the parent that is not a "natural player". Everybody I came in contact with at the Play Project is awesome! 15 points on a scale of 1 to 10!

They provided lots of reading material to get me up to speed on DIR and PLAY. Then, the PLAY consultant visits in my own home helped me by being able to watch wonderfully modeled techniques that engaged my little guy and helped me narrow in on the areas where he needs the most help. I then had a chance to try those out myself and work for my child. Watching myself on video and getting comments was extremely helpful - it's great to get that perspective and have a chance to see what I was doing that was helpful (and also the things that were not). I now am thinking in development levels as part of my day, and have a good feel for when my son is overloaded, and how to help him overcome that. Best of all is the cost.
