ADA-OHIO is a state wide non-profit organization that provides information, technical assistance and training about the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to individuals, businesses, state and local government agencies or municipalities. Anyone who has a question about the ADA is encouraged to call our office.

The Galaxy Wave Group continues to advance in assisting and improving the quality of life of autistic children every day. The reason is simple, we deal with the issue. It is the opinion of our entire professional staff, based upon the experience of resolving autistic symptoms in hundreds of autistic children, that autism is more of a psychological than a physiological issue.

It is our opinion that autism is the result of a significant loss of connectivity between the conscious and subconscious mind of the autistic child. Our findings provide a unique pathway to accelerate resolving autism. One of the advantages of the ADAM Technology Autism Program is it works for you at your home. It does not require you to travel. The program is now being successfully delivered to the homes of hundreds of people in twenty countries via the Internet with follow-ups via telephone communications.

We provide therapy camps(5 kids,5 therapists, 5 days) to young children with autism, CP, Down's Syndrome, or developmental delays. Recreational/overnight camps available for older kids.

Adams-Hanover Counseling Services, Inc. provides behavioral services (primarily TSS, MT, BSC, and outpatient therapy) to children and families in Dauphin, Cumberland, Perry, York, and Adams Counties. In Hanover, the Amazing Kids Club is an autism center which provides specialized daytime and after school programs.

We are fighting so people with disabilities can live in the community with real supports instead of being locked away in nursing homes and other institutions.

Adaptations, The Young Adult Life Skills network, is a joint initiative between FEGS Health and Human Services and the JCC in Manhattan. The program serves college educated young adults-people in their 20's and 30's with a learning disability or on the Autistic spectrum. Adaptations offers a wide variety of opportunities from social activities to ways to improve interpersonal skills, explore career options and more.

We offer swim lessons for children and adults with special needs, including autism and related disorders. The goal of the program is to teach people to swim to the best of their physical and mental ability. Both group and private lessons are available, subject to both instructor availability and a screening process to determine how to best meet the needs of the student. Group lessons for school groups are also available.

A non-profit organization, AE was founded in 1978 to address the environmental issues that confront people with disabilities and elderly people. Adaptive Environments promotes accessibility as well as universal design through education programs, technical assistance, training, consulting, publications and design advocacy. Its mission is to promote, facilitate, and advocate for international adoption of policies and designs that enable every individual, regardless of disability or age, to participate fully in all aspects of society.

The Adaptive Learning Center maximizes the potential of young children with disabilities, and creates awareness and acceptance between people with and without disabilities. ALC achieves this through:

* An early intervention program that integrates therapy and education in warm, nurturing, inclusive preschools.
* Support services that help family members understand and cope with issues related to raising a child with special needs.
* Education and consultation to help communities build resources that foster acceptance and support of people with differences and empower them to become active, contributing citizens.
