State Developmental Disabilities Planning Councils are organizations that are appointed by each state's governor. Their members often include people with developmental disabilities, parents, guardians, non-governmental service providers, and representatives from state agencies that provide services for people with developmental disabilities and their families. The Councils provide advocacy and information for developmentally disabled individuals, their families, and the professionals who work with them. Each states' Council may vary according to what type of services they provide (although most do not provide direct services). To find out what type of resources are available to you, contact the Council in your state. Listing provided by: |

I would like to inquire about adding my organization, Watch Me Learn, to your online services section. Three years ago, Mary Beth Palo, the company founder and mother of an autistic child began producing a line of videos after word-of-mouth spread regarding the success her ‘homemade’ videos had on her son. She is getting ready to release Volume 4 in the series of the now professionally produced videos. Presently, the videos are used by both public and private schools, behavioral/speech therapists and families of Autistic or speech delayed children. Mary Beth has stayed committed to providing an affordable, professional product that is the only of its kind to be endorsed by the National Autism Association. Products can be viewed and ordered from the company web-site at www.watchmelearn.com. Listing provided by: |
